Always attentive to the quality of the product and its nutritious value, CPA-Nieddittas has always followed strict preventive measures (pre-requisites) and controls (operational pre-requisites) to ensure the safety of the food products along the entire production chain, from the selection and putting into the sea of mussels up to their distribution on the network.
To this end, it created and implemented the Quality Management System, with certification granted in 2005 and renewed from year to year under the normative UNI EN ISO 9001:2015 (No. 8143/Certiquality) and later the Food Safety Management System, certified from 2008 to present, with the UNI EN ISO 22000:2005 (No. 13364/Certiquality).
The quality of the product is such that the Nieddittas mussel (under the name “live bivalve molluscs from the Gulf of Oristano”) was included in the national list of traditional food products published by the M.D. 14:06:02 on G.U. no. 18:07:02 167 and subsequent amendments and additions.
In October 2013, Nieddittas certified mussel had obtained product certification for the entire chain. We are the first Italian company and only Sardinian business in the industry to have obtained this certification for the entire production process from finishing at sea to delivery, as a further guarantee of the product we offer.
